Unique Gifts and Souvenirs from Taitung
The aquarium is next to a beautiful beach, and has a large variety of marine animals spanning two buildings! The facilities are a bit dated, but the tunnels and the beluga whales are the best! Spending 200 NTD extra to go to the backstage experience was pretty worth it—you get to feed the sharks and rays. You can also spend the night at the aquarium! I didn’t try it out but that sounds intriguing.

They may be ornamental if you don’t read Cyrillic, but we just love old books! Bulgarians love to read and you can find a great stash of used books all over Bulgarian cities. While many won’t come in handy unless you can read Bulgarian, a Bulgarian version of a beloved book can be a nice souvenir.
It takes no more than 15 minutes to reach the first view point. You get 360 view of Taitung but it's not particularly exciting. If you are not a big fans of walking stairs/sweating, it's not too big a loss to miss it. Beautiful park with a lot of Pagodas, locals singing & a trail which you go up to see the city from above. We entered from the little lane of the west side of park.
This is one of several night markets in the city. The place is interesting to visit, and everyone can touch the local way of life and culture. There is mostly a wide selection of food that should be chosen more carefully. Unfortunately, these markets over time are losing their authenticity as they start to become more of a tourist destination, and this contributes to losing the emotion of being there. The night market is situated within 10 minutes' walking distance from the Formosa train station. It is not a big night market but has some good stores, especially for nonvegetarian lovers.
At the same time, it is also a valuable asset and heritage of the Chinese nation. Has extremely high historical, cultural, economic and craft value.

Despite the port losing its functionality due to sedimentation, Lukang has retained its enduring charm, serving as a timeless reminder of its glamorous past.

Having coffee in the "church"-building is super popular, so customers are served in 1 -hour-time periods. Scuba diving and other water activities are famously done here. I was thrilled to see the big green turtles under sea. Although the corals are dying and getting dirtier here die to increasing temperature and water pollution.
While a nice park, it is not nice enough to charge admission. As of writing, much of the park is under construction. Child playground facilities are also not available. Our sourcing team speaks to manufacturers all over the world and we attend all major food trade shows on a regular basis.

Oddly in two buildings that aren't cconnected nor with a decent walkway between them. Interesting shops, although not as big as some other department stores. The bookstore in the second building has a cafe and many places to sit and read. Both buildings based around good, modern cinemas.
