You may be seeking clarity, language, or confirmation of something long felt. Our approach is thoughtful, relational, and grounded in respect for your lived experience. Once all information has been gathered, we carefully integrate and interpret the assessment data and interview material.
And some of that isn’t happening as quickly as we want, but I can assure you that in centre, that is what I'm trying to drive forward with. We are under some pressure at the moment to work regionally, and make sure that it is not post-codal, and actually that the child - wherever they are living - are getting the same wait. Before joining Ogi, Lisa led HR across EMEA and APAC regions for global software company Sigma Systems for almost 7 years, scaling the team across these key regions. She has 16-years’ experience in HR, working across the public, private and not for profit sectors.

Giorgia has worked in mental health for over 10 years across both public and private sectors in the UK, including within NHS services such as HPFT and NWL NHS Trusts. Her clinical experience includes supporting neurodivergent individuals and delivering adapted psychological interventions for autism, trauma, anxiety, and emotional dysregulation.
To ensure that the experiences were as up to date as possible, we focused on individuals who had received neurodivergent assessments and diagnosis within the previous year. Working with the Welsh Government’s neurodivergence and learning disabilities team, we explored how to support those awaiting a neurodivergence referral or assessment. Our approach to writing about neurodiversity is not to state what terminology or language is right or wrong, but to raise awareness and understanding. It is important to respect personal preference when referring to individuals or groups and we always ask how they would prefer to be described. Contextual information where appropriate For child and adolescent assessments, we may gather information from school or other caregivers using detailed, neuroaffirming questionnaires.

A collaborative research team involving Swansea University has just released guidance aimed at supporting new teachers to embed children’s participative... The assessment usually involves comprehensive WAIS IV or WISK V assessments together with developmental history interview. The cognitive assessment is always completed by a psychologist and takes between 3-4 hours. As autism can present in a similar way to other conditions, our trained clinicians will be able to distinguish between those and autism itself, thus better able to ensure the outcome of an accurate diagnosis. The assessment process consists of online questionnaires and meetings via video-link. If a neurodivergent employee considers their condition a disability, it is protected under the Equality Act 2010. Employers must ensure they are not disadvantaged and provide reasonable adjustments.

The providers included in these frameworks have met our rigorous quality assurance standards. This includes delivering robust assessments, adhering to our local prescribing formulary, and providing annual reviews. She said there had been a commitment to getting neurodiverse assessments for children done in less than four years for each child. The Hub aligns to Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly Neurodevelopmental Profiling Tool, but it can be used by everyone. It forms a part of our early help offer of support for children, young people, and their families. The contributors to the content of the profiling sections are varied and include those with lived experience and professionals working with neurodivergent children and young people. I can complete diagnostic assessments for adults to see if they meet the diagnostic criteria for Autism, ADHD, and or Dyspraxia/Developmental Coordination  Disorder. However, as an Occupational Therapist I am more  interested in helping people to improve their health, well-being and functioning, rather than giving them a label for their condition.
