We are now inviting applications for a Fellowship position in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, supervised by Dr Joe Dusseldorp and Dr Fred Clarke. Currently, Dr Lam is employed as a specialist in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Unit at the Flinders Medical Centre. In this role, he is involved in a range of elective and emergency sub-specialty areas such as skin cancer surgery, hand surgery, trauma surgery, craniofacial trauma surgery and more.

The fellow will also be encouraged to supervise and teach the junior surgical registrars in the unit. On call is on average, a 1 in 5 rota covering Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital only. The fellow will also have the opportunity to participate in the regular consultant led teaching sessions, a program which is recognised as one of the most intensive in the nation.

Having grown up in Melbourne, Eugene studied at The University of Melbourne, completing his medical degree and Bachelor of Medical Science in 2002. He then spent a number of years working in a variety of surgical specialties at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. After completing two years of accredited general surgical training, Eugene then transitioned to the five year plastic surgical training program, completing this through a number of Victorian and Tasmanian hospitals. After being admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Eugene then completed a 12 month hand and wrist fellowship at the University of Toronto, a unit that recently performed Canada’s first hand transplant. Prior to arriving back home, he also undertook an observorship with Dr Susan Mackinnon in St Louis, Missouri.
Dr Richard undertook clinical observerships in Rhinoplasty in Italy and aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery in Melbourne. He also completed a PhD in surgical anatomy of the head and neck at the esteemed Jack Brockhoff Plastic Surgery Research Unit, University of Melbourne. He is the Director of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland School of Medicine. In a statement of claim, she alleges Dr Amjadi performed a tummy tuck and liposuction on her abdomen and thighs on March 14, 2019, and failed to explain the potential risks.
In addition, A/Prof Tsao also manages all benign breast conditions, including benign breast lumps, mastalgia, abnormal nipple discharge, and gynaecomastia. Actively involved in research, he has published work across multiple areas of plastic and reconstructive surgery, including microsurgery, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, and breast reconstruction. His research has appeared in journals such as ANZ Journal of Surgery, Journal of Craniofacial Surgery, European Journal of Plastic Surgery, and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
