In addition, our NDIS art workshops are flexible and adaptable. This means that we can tailor our programs to meet the needs of art school for kids each individual participant. I work on the theory that it is best for a beginner to initially paint directly from observation, or from pictures. More complex projects, such as abstract paintings or paintings made completely from the student's imagination, are not recommended for complete beginners.

In art classes as well as learning to draw, paint and create, they will also learn delayed gratification, fine motor skills and critical thinking. Drama classes for kids and teens open up a range of opportunities such as acting for the stage or screen, along with back of house skills such as directing, lighting, costumes and make up. Each workshop lesson plan is designed to teach artistic skills and develop creative thinking in a supportive environment. Students are encouraged to explore artistic ideas to uncover new talents and build confidence in their own abilities. I have booked two parties at Tennyson Studios for my daughters as they both wanted a ceramic art party. At both parties all the girls had a great time, and produced such beautiful pieces.

We offer a complementary term trial class to all new students so that you can see exactly what the Little Art School is about. I graduated from Curtin University, where I studied Fine Arts, majoring in Painting. I worked lecturing at TAFE for ten years, and now provide my own private classes. My own artwork is realistic in style, and has a classical influence. There is a specific interest in portraiture and still life.
When a student has missed a class, it is usually possible to organise a replacement class. This can be arranged if there is a vacancy or cancellation in another class time, and the student who has missed a class is available to attend at that other class time. There is no absolute guarantee that a replacement class will always be available for a specific class time requested by a student who has missed a class.
